THE SEED THAT OCCUPIED WALL ST: URANUS SQUARE PLUTO
“As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.”
-the Declaration of the Occupation of Wall Street
Do you remember, not too long ago, when the only issues in our lives were kind of basic?
Do you remember when not so long ago, life seemed to be set in a kind of predictable pattern? And do you recall when you felt the uneasy shift? When your normal daily pattern became mundane and uninteresting? Do you remember when your appetite for your life started to change? When whatever your priorities were no longer mattered because your internal desires were screaming for you to pause, take a moment and go deeper? What i’m saying here is…do you realize how much everything has changed?
The Uranus Square Pluto transit is what I like to call ‘The Seed that Occupied Wall St’. An astrological positioning that does not occur often, but when it does, creates a forceful generational shift on the planet. In fact, I believe the last time the planets Uranus and Pluto had an energetic conversation like this was in 1930s and then again in the 1960s. The planets formation to each other, results in an energetic tension that requires change to alleviate. The times we are living in is the shift into the new paradigm.
I’ll never forget the first news stories of the group that Occupied Wall Street. The news of their protests came up simultaneously when I was studying the formation of these transits. This was a few years ago.
Since Uranus and Pluto are far away from the Earth, they take several years to move from one sign to another. Compare it to the moon, which takes a couple of days to transit one sign. Uranus is a radical planet that highlights your unique genius. Uranus currently sits in Aries which aggressively amplifies the individual’s rights because Aries is a sign that has a me-first vibration. This unification brings forth more courage to the individual to speak up and speak out!
Pluto, this very far away, yet powerful planet vibrates to transformational energy. Pluto transiting Capricorn creates a need for dramatic change in the way we do big business; corporations. When you take Uranus with Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, you get the rights of the individuals vs. the big mighty entity; corporations, government etc.
In the 1960’s the planets were in a different positioning called a ‘conjunction’. A ‘conjunction’ blends the energies. As we know, The 1960’s was a time of social change. The women’s movement, equal rights movement, and civil rights movement were on fire during this decade.
As the Uranus in Aries and Pluto ‘square’ each other in our present day they will reach a final exact positioning in 2015. As we can feel, the times are similar to the unrest in the 1960s. However, the ‘square’ conversation, is not a blending of the energies but a ‘face-off’ or more like a fork in the road. It feels limiting. I feel there is a slow steady rumble of tension. Can we say karmic unfinished business?
The power is up to you! Wow what a ride this will be! Enjoy the changes that you have undergone. We are all undergoing a spiritual upgrade. Now we must surf on these energies. What will your waves look like? What will your space that you ‘occupy’ in this gigantic universe look like?
